ATLANTA (Sept. 4, 2025) – Two Georgia Lottery players won $1 million each in the Sept. 3 Powerball drawing as the jackpot climbed to $1.7 billion, the third largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. The million-dollar tickets matched all five white-ball numbers and were purchased at Pharr Food & Gas, 345 Pharr Road NE in Atlanta, and Commerce Tobacco Outler, 407 S. Elm St., Commerce.
One player won $100,000 in the same drawing by matching four of the five numbers and the Powerball. By selecting the Power Play option, their winnings were doubled from $50,000 to $100,000. That winning ticket was purchased on the Georgia Lottery mobile app by a Columbus resident.
Six additional players won $50,000 with tickets purchased at the following locations:
- C-Mart, 3403 Mike Padgett Highway, Augusta
- Pinehurst Gas N Go Travel, 824 Pinehurst Hawkins Road, Pinehurst
- 20’s Pub & Subs, 3076 Riverside Drive, Macon
- Shell Food Mart, 106 Walnut Ave., Leesburg
- Food Mart, 3385 Airport Road, Dalton
- Georgia Lottery mobile app by an Atlanta resident
The winning numbers were 03-16-29-61-69. The Powerball number was 22 and the Power Play multiplier was 2X. The next Powerball drawing will be Sept. 6 with an estimated jackpot of $1.7 billion.
In addition, two Georgia Lottery players matched all five numbers in the Sept. 3 Fantasy 5 drawing to win $1,059,499 each. This was the third largest jackpot in Fantasy 5 history. The winning tickets were purchased at The Corner Store, 6705 Highway 52 E. in Murrayville, and MAPCO, 3546 Cleveland Highway in Dalton.
